Driver Hits Legendary Deer 'Borys' in Rivne Region and Flees — Police Track Her Down.

According to TSN.ua: On March 23, around 7:15 PM, a road accident occurred in the settlement of Zarichne, Rivne region, involving a locally famous deer named Borys. Police quickly identified the female driver who struck the animal and left the scene. The driver, a 28-year-old local resident, was behind the wheel of a Mercedes with its headlights off at the time of the collision.
According to witnesses, a 57-year-old man from the area saw the incident happen. The woman was found to be sober at the time of the crash. After the event, authorities issued three administrative citations against her for various violations. She told police she fled because she was scared, as reported by the police press service.
Borys the Deer and His Fame
Borys, who was injured in the accident, is now under the care of a gamekeeper. This deer has become a local celebrity, known in the community for about six years. He was originally purchased in the Volyn region and brought to the Zarichne forestry, where he gained popularity among residents.
The incident drew significant attention from locals and media, as the animal has become a symbol of the settlement.
