According to ТСН: Winter vacation in the Kyiv region ended in tragedy for a group of young people. A dangerous attraction involving a car and tires led to the death of a 25-year-old man.

Tragic incident in Bila Tserkva

This incident occurred in the city of Bila Tserkva, in the Hayok microdistrict. The tragedy happened around 14:40 on an old runway.

According to preliminary investigation data, a 25-year-old driver of a Volkswagen Touareg SUV decided to arrange an extreme attraction for his friends. He violated traffic rules and attached two regular car tires to the vehicle's tow hitch using a rope. His peers sat on these improvised 'sleds.'

The tires on which the young people were sitting skidded into the oncoming lane, where a quad bike was passing at that moment.

Tragedy could not be avoided

The quad bike was driven by a 16-year-old girl. A collision could not be avoided: one of the young men ended up under the wheels of the oncoming vehicle and sustained severe bodily injuries.

An emergency medical team quickly arrived at the scene. The doctors tried to save the victim's life, but the injuries turned out to be incompatible with life. The young man died in the ambulance.

The driver of the Volkswagen Touareg SUV was detained in procedural order and is currently in temporary detention. Investigators from the Kyiv region police have already initiated a pre-trial investigation.

Other incidents in the Kyiv region

It is worth reminding that in the Kyiv region a minibus crossed into the oncoming lane, leading to a collision with Jeep and Volkswagen cars. As a result, one person died and 13 sustained injuries.

This incident in the Kyiv region once again emphasizes the importance of adhering to traffic rules, especially during entertainment activities. Safety must come first, and every participant in road traffic must be aware of their responsibility for the lives of others.
