Teenager severely injured while tubing with horses in Lviv region.
According to ТСН: An accident occurred in the village of Sheptytskyi district in the Lviv region: a teenager was injured while tubing, pulled by horses.
According to the Lviv police, the incident happened at 10:00 PM in one of the villages of the Sheptytskyi district. Preliminary reports indicate that a 22-year-old local resident was tubing with a 17-year-old boy on a rubber tube attached to a cart pulled by two horses.
At one point, the driver lost control of the horses, and the tubing went off the road, landing in a ditch. The teenager fell off and hit a concrete support of a bridge. As a result of the incident, the victim suffered head injuries and other bodily harm and was taken to the hospital.
Currently, investigators have opened a criminal case under Article 291 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which pertains to violations of transportation rules. The penalty for this article can be up to five years of imprisonment.
It is worth noting that recently rescuers evacuated 78 people from a chairlift that had stalled on Mount Zakhar Bercut in the village of Volosyanka in the Lviv region.
This tragic incident serves as a reminder of the importance of adhering to safety rules while using vehicles, even in such recreational situations. The investigation continues to examine the circumstances of the incident to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
