According to ТСН: On the night of December 12, Russian forces launched an attack on the energy infrastructure in the Odesa region. As a result, about 90 thousand subscribers were left without electricity. There were also water supply issues in Odesa.

Recovery and consequences of the attack

The head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kiper, reported:

"Currently, damage assessment and possibilities for reconnection are ongoing. Specialists are already working on restoration. Critical infrastructure and enterprises are switching to generator power."

He also noted that there are interruptions in the water supply in Odesa, and public transportation is complicated. To ease the situation, more buses were added to routes that duplicate the movements of electric transport.

Points of invincibility

According to Kiper, 161 points of invincibility have been created in Odesa, and 356 in the region.

Damage from the attack

It is worth noting that on the night of December 12, the Russians heavily shelled Odesa. An energy infrastructure facility was damaged in the Odesa district, and in the regional center, storage facilities, an administrative building, and a garage were affected.

As a result of the attack, several settlements were temporarily left without electricity, affecting 90 thousand subscribers. According to DTEK, this is already the 20th substation that has suffered significant damage in the region.

This new attack confirms the ongoing pressure on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, which has serious consequences for the population. In response, local authorities and specialized services are working on restoring electricity supply and ensuring the needs of residents of towns and villages in the Odesa region.
