Ombudsman Reports Unresolved Sanitary Violations at Bila Tserkva District Military Center.
Unsanitary Conditions at Recruitment and Social Support Center
According to TSN.ua: Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets has reported persistent unsanitary conditions at a Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (TRSSC) in the Bila Tserkva district. These violations, which include a lack of proper hygiene, were first identified during a monitoring visit by his office on December 4 of last year. Such centers are crucial for military recruitment and veteran support, making basic standards of care a significant public concern.
Official Demands and Ongoing Concerns
The problems at the TRSSC were officially documented. Ukrainian law mandates that these institutions provide adequate conditions for individuals using their services. However, Lubinets noted that no changes have been implemented since the visit, raising serious questions about administrative responsiveness.
"The Ombudsman's Office conducted a monitoring visit to this TRSSC as far back as December 4 of last year," Lubinets emphasized.
The Ombudsman has already sent formal letters to the Kyiv Regional Military Administration and the command of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, demanding they take corrective action. Expressing his frustration, he asked: "And I have just one question: how long must this go on?"
It remains unclear when the necessary steps will finally be taken to improve conditions at the Bila Tserkva district center.
The ongoing situation with sanitation at the recruitment center underscores the critical need for oversight of service quality in state institutions. The failure to resolve issues identified in December points to potential systemic failures in the management and control of such facilities. While the Ombudsman's intervention may spur urgent action, concrete steps from the authorities are still pending.
