According to TSN.ua: Police in Rivne detained a woman on January 16 after she knocked over memorial displays featuring portraits of fallen soldiers at Independence Square. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. after authorities received reports of vandalism. The woman reportedly claimed the memorials were irritating her. The detained individual is a 41-year-old resident of Rivne. At the time of her arrest, she was intoxicated, with a breathalyzer test registering 0.91 per mille. Her actions resulted in damage to 13 separate portrait structures honoring the deceased servicemen.

The woman has been held administratively liable under Article 178 of Ukraine's Code of Administrative Offenses. Furthermore, she has been formally notified of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which pertains to hooliganism.
