O.Torvald Frontman Zhenya Galich Launches Coffee Brand to Support Ukraine's Military.
Zhenya Galich's Coffee Venture
According to TSN.ua: Ukrainian musician Zhenya Galich, the frontman of the rock band O.Torvald, has announced the launch of a new coffee brand dedicated to supporting the country's armed forces. Galich, who enlisted in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in April 2022, conceived the project while serving on the front lines. He fought in the battle for Bakhmut as part of the 135th Battalion of the 114th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade and has been serving in Kyiv since October 2024. This initiative is part of a growing trend of Ukrainian artists and entrepreneurs directly contributing to the war effort.
Currently involved in the logistical support of the military, Galich described the brand as aiming to be the 'coffee of the brave.'
This is a coffee brand that roasts and produces coffee—it creates coffee for the brave and is about supporting one another,he stated. He also emphasized the beverage's symbolic role, noting,
Coffee was our comfort during the war, so we decided to create a coffee brand. Therefore, the project not only involves coffee production but also carries a vital social purpose: generating funds for Ukrainian soldiers.
The Project's Social Impact
Zhenya Galich's coffee brand highlights innovative ways to sustain Ukraine's military through business initiatives. In times of war, it is crucial not only to provide material aid but also to develop projects that bolster the morale of troops and their families. Coffee, which became a symbol of solace amid combat, can now serve as both a token of solidarity and a meaningful part of the daily lives of soldiers defending their nation's freedom.
