Military filmed threatening a civilian: a service investigation has been launched in Ternopil.
According to ТСН: The Ternopil Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support has launched a service investigation due to a video that has caused public outrage. The recording shows a serviceman aggressively communicating with a civilian passenger in a car.
In an official statement, the TCK and SP emphasized that the principle of 'zero tolerance for violations of the law' is at the core of their activities.
What happened in the incident
The footage, posted on social media, was filmed by the military himself, in which he tries to communicate with a man in the back seat of the car. During the conflict, the serviceman begins to yell, threaten, and uses profanity when the civilian tries to shield his face with his hand.
The Ternopil TCK reported that they have already begun a service check and are establishing all the circumstances of the incident. Witnesses and bystanders of the incident will be interviewed. Relevant law enforcement agencies will provide a legal assessment of the situation.
'Zero tolerance for violations of the law is the principled position of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Violations are not concealed. We listen to everyone and are accountable for everyone.'
In addition, investigations are ongoing regarding the circumstances of the death of a 50-year-old man in Zhytomyr region. The police spokesperson reported that traces of blood were found on the face, and the body has been sent for forensic examination to determine the cause of death.
This situation has caused a wide resonance among the public as it reflects the importance of adhering to ethics and legality in the activities of servicemen. The service investigation aims not only to identify the guilty but also to strengthen public trust in law enforcement agencies.
