Zhenya Halich criticized stars for flaunting a luxurious vacation during the war.
According to ТСН: The musician and frontman of the band O.Torvald Zhenya Halich expressed outrage regarding stars who showcase luxurious vacations in western Ukraine.
He shared his thoughts on social media Threads, emphasizing that he is not against leisure and entertainment. However, he is concerned about one aspect – why these moments need to be displayed on social media.
'I am not against vacation, not against holidays, not against concerts, not against partying in Bukovel... But for some reason, the demonstration of all this on social media really stands out. Caviar, prosecco, swimming pools, white robes? All of this from people with an audience... For what? Everyone understands the value of such a vacation...'
Zhenya Halich noted that in times of war, such displays seem inappropriate, especially when Ukrainian soldiers risk their lives defending the country from aggression.
'How to explain all this to people who are holding off enemies at the cost of their lives so that you can vacation? Can it be done quietly? Why provoke?'
Furthermore, Zhenya Halich recently participated in a charity special edition of 'Dancing with the Stars', where he talked about 'chemistry' on the dance floor with his partner Yana Tsybulskaya.
Zhenya Halich's statements reflect a broader question about ethics in difficult times, as the demonstration of luxury can irritate those who are struggling on the front lines. In such moments, it’s important to remember the feelings of compatriots and show sensitivity to their experiences.
